Shillong, Aug 6: The anti-India anger has resulted in Bangladesh mob not sparing the the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) in Dhaka where the bust of Khasi freedom fighter U Tirot Sing was unveiled on February 16 this year.
Tourism minister Paul Lyngdoh said a shared video revealed that the bust was also damaged when the mob attacked and torched the cultural centre but the lower portion (plaque) remained intact.

This is the result of anti-India feeling of the mob after the political instability in Bangladesh, he added.
ICCR official Munish Singh also confirmed the development and expressed concern over the incident.
