Centre ready to set up hospital for labourers in city
Shillong, July 12: Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli said the Centre is keen to set up a hospital for the workers in the state.
“There are many labourers in the state and the Centre is ready to establish a hospital for them in the city”, he said.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, the union minister said the state should provide land for the construction of the hospital anywhere in the city.
The minister said the state government informed that the land is not available in the city but on the outskirts.
According to the minister, once the land is identified, the Centre will be ready to help the state government to set up the hospital.
