Shillong, Jan 23: The CID has summoned former Meghalaya DGP R Chandranathan in connection with the pending investigation involving suspended police official GK Iangrai.
A senior police official said the CID wanted certain clarifications from the former DGP and he gave his statement to the investigating officer on Tuesday.

Police had filed FIRs against Iangrai after a police probe team found irregularities in purchase of vehicles, sanctioning of ration and construction of Nationwide Emergency Response System (NERS building under Sadar police station.
