CM to meet MHA officials on March 9 to discuss border dispute
Shillong, Feb 28: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will attend a meeting convened by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in New Delhi on March 9 to discuss the border issue.
Speaking to reporters on Monday,the chief minister said that the meeting will discuss how to resolve the border dispute after the final report was submitted to MHA.

To a question as to whether the government has succumbed to the pressure of the NGOs by removing the CEM Rakesh Sangma, the chief minister said the district council members have taken a decision jointly as a group in the best overall interest of the council. “So I can’t comment on the decision that the MDCs have taken . Due process will take place and I heard they have elected Albinush Marak as the CEM”, he added.
On students stranded in Ukraine, the chief minister said he spoke to foreign secretary, updated him and gave a list that over 30 students are stranded in Ukraine.
“I’m in constant touch with the MEA and four ministers have been entrusted with the responsibility to bring the students back”, Conrad said ..
