
Shillong, Jan 8: Around 70 applicants are seeking tickets in the upcoming Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) elections.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, state Congress president Vincent Pala said the party was ready for the upcoming GHADC elections.

“For the GHADC elections, we have already invited applications for the last month. Around 70 ticket aspirants have come forward, and we have to decide on this issue,” Pala said.
He said the party’s decision on candidates will be taken once the election date is announced.
“Normally, once they announce the election, we announce our candidates. We have also done all the preparations,” Pala added.
