Shillong, Jan 23: NCP legislator Saleng Sangma who resigned from the Assembly on Monday said that he is joining the Congress as it is a bigger platform.
“I hope that the Congress is a bigger platform than the NCP, and we hope for a change”, he said.

On the prospect of the Congress, Saleng said, “Even if it is a small team and if we get five to six seats from Garo Hills , this will be good so that we can work as a team”, the Gambegre representative added.
Saleng had contested and won on a Congress ticket in 2008, as Independent in 2013 and from the NCP in 2018.
