Shillong, May 8: The court of the additional deputy commissioner(Judicial) has rejected the bail petition of Raj Khushvaha, and three others, Aakash Singh Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan and Aanand Kurmi.
They are accused of murdering Raja Raghuvanshi with the support of his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi.
Special public prosecutor KC Gautam said on Friday ( May 8), the court did not find any clerical errors as far as the four accused are concerned, and they were informed why they were arrested.
Earlier, the court had granted bail to Sonam, citing errors in the sections of arrest.
Another argument was that she was not informed about the reason for her arrest.
Gautam said as far as the rejection of the bail to Raj and others is concerned, they did not want to take the help of the legal aid when it was suggested soon after their arrests, hence they are very much aware of the reason.
P. Yobin, the advocate for the accused, said the court found the absence of parity resulting in the rejection of bail.
