Shillong, June 19. Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha will be in Meghalaya police custody for two more days, while the local court here on Thursday sent three others-Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan and Anand Kurmi- in judicial custody for 14 days.
The court of judicial magistrate (first class) DKK Mihsil heard the plea of the police for more custody of Sonam & Raj.

Earlier on June 12, the court had granted eight days of police custody.
After the court direction, East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem told reporters that more days of police custody of the accused will be sought as and when the Meghalaya police team arrives from Indore or whenever there are more developments from Indore.
Sonam and Raj will be produced before the court on Saturday.
He said the police team still have alot of work in Indore.
“We have already done the questioning of brother of Sonam, Govind Raghuvanshi and Govind’s mother and today they have ascertained who the driver was, who took Sonam to Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
Calls between Raj & Sonam were plenty
The SP said that Sanjay Verma is just a fictitious name, which is actually registered in true caller but the number pertains to Raj Kushwaha himself.
He revealed that the tally of calls between Raj and Sonam was huge.
Syiem informed that the police team are still looking for the third phone of Sonam.

“Sonam had three phones, two she had destroyed and we believe that the remaining phone is probably with gold ornaments and other items which Sonam had left behind.
We were hoping that with the team going to Indore, we will get more information but flat where Sonam stayed was locked and the items of Sonam are not there but it appears that it has been shifted from there by somebody and the team are there to ascertain who has taken it and where are all these items,” he said.

On the instagram user Dev Singh , who had posted videos of Sonam and Raja, Syiem said, “We have reached out to him but he has not answered back to us. We have written to Instagram to give us details so that his statement can be recorded also.”
