Laitumkhrah SBI ATM vandalised
Chief Manager, SBI Laitumkhrah Branch, Shillong lodged a complaint that on May 18 night, in an attempt to steal money, miscreants vandalised the ATM located at SBI Laitumkhrah Branch. However, they could not open the vault containing cash.
One detained for theft
On May 18,police detained one Max Eric Syiemlieh (22) while robbing Rs 2,000 from Ukil Rai (43) at Demseiniong, Shillong.
PHC burgled
Dr Beatrice Warjri, Medical Officer in charge Nongthymmai UPHC, Shillong lodged a complaint that on May 18 night, miscreants broke into the UPHC and stole one HP laptop and two Lenovo Tablets.
Umbrellas stolen
Dority Jyrwa lodged a complaint that on May 17 around 10.30 am, she received information from Krolinda Wahlang that on reaching her shop at Mawkyrwat Market, South West Khasi Hills, she found that miscreants broke into her shop and stole fifteen umbrellas and bakery products valued around Rs 9,600. This refers to Mawkyrwat PS Case No. 9(5)21 u/s 454/380 IPC. In this connection, Police arrested two persons, Firstbonson Lyngkhoi (21) and Pyndap Snaitang (25) and also recovered three of the stolen umbrellas.
One held for bike theft
Firstlanson Thongni (21) lodged a complaint that on May 15, miscreants stole his motorcycle (AS-25N-1446) from a parking lot near PWD Office, Nongstoiñ (West Khasi Hill). In this connection, Police arrested one Pyndaplang Marngar (23). (Sourced from Meghalaya police website)
