Bhopal, Oct 26 (UNI): Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said on Tuesday that the state government had sternly objected to a Dabur advertisement on the Karwa Chauth theme and warned that “legal action” would be initiated.
“As the company withdrew the commercial and tendered an apology on Monday in social media, the matter is settled,” he told the press here.

The advertisement shows a lesbian couple celebrating Karwa Chauth.
Mohandas Pai, former director of Infosys, tweeted, “Brands should not get involved in religion or politics @harishbijoor Totally agree. Brands are businesses not social change agents.”
