The Washington Post won the Pulitzer prize in ‘Public Service’ category for covering the causes, costs and aftermath of the January 6 Capitol attack.

The Pulitzer Board honoured the Ukrainian journalists with a special citation for their “courage, endurance and commitment to truthful reporting” amid Russian invasion. “Despite bombardment, abductions, occupation, and even deaths in their ranks, they have persisted in their effort to provide an accurate picture of a terrible reality, doing honour to Ukraine and to journalists around the world,” they added.
