Shillong, Oct 25: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday between Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and Department of Posts (DoP) for delivery of Electors Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) and various notices through speed post services on mutually agreed-upon terms.
In a statement, the CEO said as per the MoU, the post master general will provide facilities available under the speed post services for booking, transmission and door delivery of EPICs.
The MoU was signed by the CEO, FR Kharkongor and Jyoti Meena, senior superintendent of post offices, Meghalaya division on behalf of Chief Post Master General of Meghalaya at secretariat.
