Shillong, July 27: A former member of the Rot Association of Meghalaya (RAM), Balahun has refuted the allegations against her regarding the leak of documents related to its organisational setup.
Her membership was recently terminated by RAM for giving an interview to a news channel thereby going against the rules of conduct of the association.
The documents that have gone viral on social media, reveal how the group functions, a list of registered members and also contact information about some of its members.
In its Telegram channel, RAM had said the circulation of these documents on WhatsApp started from Lapalang village under Pynursla Block on July 9 and an FIR has been filed against Balahun regarding the theft of documents.
The ex-member said she has nothing to do with the leak and that RAM had falsely accused her.
Balahun, who is now staying with a friend at Nongstoin since RAM leaders exposed her whereabouts in its Telegram channel, said that RAM cannot rule over her life anymore since she is no longer a member of the association.
