Shillong, Apr 27: The Expert Committee on the State Reservation Policy has decided to hold public hearings after receiving suggestions from the people.
The committee will also issue a public notice to seek consultations/ suggestions/ comments on the policy.

The meeting was also attended by the officers of state personnel department.
The next meeting of the committee is scheduled in May.
The panel was constituted on September 12 last year under the chairmanship of Justice (Retd.) Mool Chand Garg, with the members, Justice (Retd.) Dr. Satish Chandra and professors DV Kumar, Chander Shekhar and Subhadip Mukherjee.
