Shillong, Dec 30 (Agencies): Legendary football player Pele died on Thursday. He was 82.
The God of football, whose original name was Edison Arrantes do Nascimento, died at Albert Einstein Hospital in his hometown Sao Paulo in Brazil. He was admitted there since November 29 with colon cancer that was diagnosed last year.

Condolences poured in from around the world for the legend, who was the youngest player to join the World Cup at the age of 17. In his 21-year football career, he scored 1283 goals. Besides footballers, statesmen and country heads too condoled his death.
