Shillong, Dec 29: Former MLA of Rambrai-Jyrngam Kimfa S Marbaniang has joined the ruling National People’s Party (NPP), on Thursday.
Marbaniang was welcomed by NPP national president and chief minister Conrad K Sangma in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, NPP spokesperson Ampareen Lyngdoh, MLA of Nongstoin Macmillan Byrsat, NPP Leader Mahendro Rapsang, and NPP secretary Bajop Pyngrope, among others.

Sangma has also declared Marbaniang as the official candidate of the party from Rambrai-Jyrngam constituency.
On Wednesday, Marbaniang had resigned as MLA.
