Shillong, March 14: Two BSF personnel were injured in stone pelting by Bangladeshi goons in West Jaintia Hills, on Sunday.
The injured BSF men have been identified as head constable Charan Singh and constable Jitendra Kumar.

In a statement issued on Monday, the BSF said the incident took place in Nongkhen area in the district when the miscreants acted violently when challenged by the BSF troops to stop them from carrying head-load containing cosmetic items from India to Bangladesh.
“The BSF showed utmost restraint and respecting human lives, did not open fire but they managed to seize smuggled goods worth more than Rs 7 lakh from the place”, it added.
