Govt lifts ban on recruitments & advertisements

Shillong, June 15: The state government has lifted ban on recruitments and advertisements from June 14.

Earlier, the government had kept in abeyance the job recruitments till the clearance of  roster system.

Notification lifting ban on recruitments and advertisements

In a notification, the government said that all recruitments/advertisements to various posts which were earlier kept in abeyance will resume with strict adherence and compliance to the new amended office memorandum ( OM) on reservation roster issued on June 14.

New amended reservation roster 

The new office memorandum has replaced the old one of May 10, 2022.

The notification says that the reservation of posts for ST/SC will be as per the resolution of January 12, 1972.

The reservation roster will not be applicable to vacancies filled by transfer, deputation or promotion. Temporary appointments of less than 45 days duration, work-charged staff including daily and monthly- rated staff and contractual appointments will not come under roster system.

Implementation continuous 

In order to prepare the reservation roster, names of all the candidates holding the posts  as on date of the notification of this OM, starting with the earliest appointee, where only the data, wherever available, is taken and actual implementation is continuous as per the roster point arrived at.

Prior approval of Personnel & A.R (B) department

All departments, district heads and PSUs with sanctioned posts are to obtain the approval of personnel and A.R. (B) department before advertising any vacant post for direct recruitment.
