Shillong, June 6: The East Jaintia Hills district administration will grant permission to the families of one of the miners to visit the accident site at Krem Ule in Umpleng on Monday.
An official source said on Sunday that permission will be issued on Monday but the family members will have to undergo testing for Covid at the entry point and follow the health protocols.
The administration has granted permission to Fakrul Islam Barbhuiya, Yeahya Hussain, Samsul Hussain Choudhury and Nasim Uddin, who are the relatives of miner Anwarul Islam Barbhuiya.
Earlier, in a letter to the East Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner, the family members assured to cooperate with the district administration by providing more information if any once they arrive at the site.
