Shillong, April 1: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) has sought action against Gopal Dey, the president of Coordination and Welfare Committee (CWC) , Shella Bholaganj Block and adjoining areas for naming KSU activists behind the murder of two persons at Ichamati.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Wraiwan Sohtun, Assistant General Secretary, HANM, said the FIR against Dey is for the letter sent to the chief minister on March 29 by the CWC accusing the KSU for the Ichamati incident of March 27.
Sohtun said the organisation wanted the police to probe the incident properly and arrest the culprits and condemned the killing of Ishan Singh and Sujit Dutta.
The organisation also wanted action from the police regarding the letter circulated on social media threatening the KSU.
