HC wants joint meeting of Jowai Municipal Board & headmen to address garbage issue

Shillong, May 22: The High Court of Meghalaya has asked the state government to hold a meeting of both the Jowai Municipal Board and the headmen of the localities in Jowai town to address the issue of garbage collection.

The order was after the affidavits filed by both the Jowai Municipal Board and by the Synjuk Ki Waheh Shnong Jowai indicated completely different pictures of garbage collection in the town as the headmen had pointed out that the garbage collection was not regular.
