Shillong, Feb 24: Two persons were arrested and over 200 gm of heroin was seized during a Naka checking at Umkiang on Monday.
Around 11.30 pm, a vehicle with Assam registration was incerpted at Umkiang outpost. The vehicle was coming from Silchar. During the search, 17 soap boxes containing 204 gm of suspected heroin were recovered from the vehicle. The arrested persons were identified as Suhal Ahmed (20) and Aktar Hussain (37).
