HITO questions Sikh panel visit during Covid
Shillong, The Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) has sought a clarification from the office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner regarding the sudden visit of a delegation of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee to convene a public meeting at Harijan Colony on the evening of October 13. The delegation was led by DSGMC President Sardar Manjinder Sing Sirsa.
“Though pictures appearing in the media depict few persons but it is an established fact that a public meeting was held on that day and attended by an unaccounted number of people, and suffice to say, well beyond prevailing Covid-19 SOPs enforced by your office”, it said in a statement.
