Shillong,Oct 22: The HYC on Friday protested against fuel price hike.
The protest started from Motphran and culminated in Police Bazar.

The organisation put up posters and banners besides releasing black balloons as a mark of protest.
HYC general secretary Roy Kupar Synrem said the problem is due to high tax on petrol and diesel by the Centre.
The fuel price hike will have cascading effect on the poor, the farmers and the commuters as there will be rise in price of essential commodities since Meghalaya depends on road transport, he said.
