New Delhi, Sept 6 (UNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss the developing situation in Afghanistan, sources said.
India has maintained that it is in a ‘wait and watch’ mode over Afghanistan, and is keeping an eye on the situation.

The meeting — that was held at the Prime Minister’s Lok Kalyan Marg residence — comes on a day when Taliban Spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid said the war in Afghanistan is over, and the formation of a new government will be announced in a few days.
Earlier in the day, the Taliban announced that Panjshir became the last of 34 Afghan provinces to fall under their control.
