Shillong, Aug 20: Former Dadenggre MLA James Sangma has moved an election petition against his rival Rupa Marak of the TMC who defeated the former by a margin of 18 votes in the Assembly polls.
According to a lawyer dealing with the case, James challenged tthe win of Rupa by stating that one of the bank accounts was not shown in the affidavit by the candidate.

The matter came up for hearing on August 14 and it will be taken up again by the court after two weeks.
James also made other candidates as parties to the petition.
