Shillong, June 21:Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Shillong on November 14 and 15 with global co-headliners Jason Derulo and The Script
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma at the World Music Day celebration hosted at Lariti Auditorium, on Saturday.
This year’s edition brings the festival back to the heart of Shillong, with pop-up experiences and cultural installations planned across the city-highlighting Ward’s Lake and other heritage venues. The main concerts will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with MFA Ground and SRGT Ground extending the experience into a full-fledged city festival zone.
Day 1 Co-Headliners:
Jason Derulo, global pop-R&B superstar from Miami, USA, will bring his chart-topping hits (Swalla, Talk Dirty, Savage Love) to Shillong, performing with his 15-member dance crew. Known for his explosive stage presence and masterful dance routines, Derulo is celebrated as one of the top 10 male singers of all time who can dance-fusing vocals and choreography like few others in the world.
The Script, one of Ireland’s most acclaimed rock bands, will join Derulo as equal co -headliner. With over 20 million albums sold worldwide, the band has a global fan base thanks to iconic tracks like Hall of Fame, Breakeven, and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved. Renowned for their emotionally powerful live shows, this performance will mark their long-awaited India debut.
Day 2 Co-Headliners will be announced soon, with organisers promising an equally powerful and diverse lineup.
A standout feature this year will be the inclusion of RFID LED wristbands for every ticket holder-a concept made famous by Coldplay-creating a synchronized light show and unifying the audience experience.

A statement of the organisers said that more than a festival, Cherry Blossom 2025 is expected to deliver a major boost to Shillong’s economy, tourism sector, and global cultural identity.
