Jihadi groups a threat for the nation: Rymbui

Shillong, Aug 10: As Assam is keeping vigil following the arrest of members of Jihadi groups, Meghalaya has taken precautionary measures.
Speaking to exporters on Wednesday, Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui said,” The police is taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of the state, amid reports about the presence of some anti social elements or Jihadi groups in the neighbouring state.From the police department, Government of Meghalaya, we are taking extra steps so that those anti social elements or Jihadi groups will not have any place in the state,” he said.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma had also assured action against the Jihadi elements.
Recently, HYC has also asked the government to implement anti-influx measures.
