JP Nadda to attend public meeting on Tuesday
Party to lodge complaint against fake letter opposing Valentine's Day

Shillong, Feb 13: Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda will attend a public meeting in the city on Tuesday.
The following day, he will release party’s manifesto, state BJP said in a statement on Monday.
The BJP leader, who will be arriving at Umroi airport on Tuesday afternoon, will address a public rally at Jhalupara taxi stand ground at 5 pm and chair various important organisational meetings.
On Wednesday morning, he will release the party manifesto in a city hotel.
Fake letter on Valentine’s Day
The BJP has decided to lodge a complaint against a fake letter being circulated on social media.
“There is a fake letter circulating on social media claiming that the BJP Meghalaya is against Valentine’s Day! The letter is highly despicable* and completely fraud. The BJP has a very pragmatic view of all festivals and celebrations”, the party said.
The BJP said the etter is clearly a political weapon designed to create mistrust towards the BJP in the face of the upcoming Assembly elections. “We fear it is the work of some desperately scared political opponent”, the party said.
