In a memorandum to Sangma, the KSU leader said the delay in the completion of Shillong Medical College since its foundation in 2017 (in picture) at Reid Chest hospital, Mawbah,  by the then state government and subsequent shifting of  venue to Umsawli, New Shillong is disheartening and shows lack of commitment by the government.

The KSU leader also expressed concern over awarding  development work of the Shillong Medical College to the Kolkata based firm, Kali Pradip Choudhuri (KPC) though  the firm has a tainted image in tax evasion.

The KSU wanted the authorities to revisit the agreement signed with the firm currently engaging in development work.
