Ahmed said he had received a letter from the Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) Jowai informing about the non-availability of seats for class XI students in Kiang Nangbah Government Higher Secondary School and other private institutions.

The JYF also informed that they had already submitted the names, address and contact numbers of all the students to the Joint Director of Education but the government has not taken any action.

He reminded the state government about its responsibility by quoting former Chief Justice of India, P N Bhagwati who referred to the overall growth of a person for the healthy growth of the nation.
