Shillong, May 18: Executive Magistrates will be deployed in the city from early morning to regulate crowd, maintain physical distancing and mask wearing following the total lockdown from May 19.
In an order issued on Tuesday, the East Khasi Hills district magistrate said that only vehicles with valid passes and those going for vaccination are allowed to ply.

Inter-locality movement of persons is prohibited and movement of people to Shillong without passes is also barred, the order said.
In anticipation of panic buying and rush in markets, the incident commanders, sub divisional officers, and block development officers have been asked to strictly regulate major markets in their respective jurisdictions.
