Shillong, Sept 26: A 30-year-old man allegedly killed his 29 year-old live-in partner in Nongpoh on Monday.
Later, police arrested the accused.

According to the police, around 11.25 am, the headman of Pahamsyiem village informed that one body was lying at the village.
Following this, Nongpoh police team left for the spot and on arrival, they found a girl lying dead on the road side of the village.
Police said during the preliminary enquiry, it was learnt that this morning, the 30-year-old man killed the girl aged 19 after a quarrel. “After enquiry, it was ascertained that both the deceased and the accused have been living together for a while”, the police added.
