
Shillong, Dec 28: Meghalaya police and the BSF have no information on the entry of two suspected killers of rebel Bangladesh leader Osman Hadi to India through Garo Hills region, as claimed by the Bangladesh police.
When asked, the DGP Idashisha Nongrang said there was no confirmation, while the Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Fronter, OP Upadhyay said, “It is not true, and it is
malicious and fabricated”.
Earlier, media reports in Bangladesh quoted the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner SN Nazrul Islam as saying that the two suspects Faisal Karim Masud and Alamgir Sheikh entered Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills through Haluaghat- Mymensingh border
“The suspects entered India via the Haluaghat border. After crossing, they were initially received by an individual named Purti. Later, a taxi driver named Sami transported them to Tura city in Meghalaya,” Nazrul Islam told journalists during a press conference.
