Shillong, Dec 3: Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress members led by its general secretary Fernandez S Dkhar on Friday quit the party .
Dkhar alleged that the new Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee led by Vincent Pala has neglected the youth congress members.

Later in the evening, the MPYC president Richard Marak has also quit the party.
Earlier, MPCC functionaries, James Lyngdoh, Manas Das Gupta, Mukul Das, Kamol Marbaniang and NSUI members had also resigned blaming Pala.
Ex-MLA Mukul Das had served the Congress for 49 years after he joined the party as youth Congress member in 1972. He had also functioned as general secretary of MPCC.
The resignations follow the exodus of 12 Congress legislators to TMC.
