Shillong, March 19: Aiborlang Shadap, MDC from Barato-Mukroh constituency, West Jaintia Hills and Hamboydei Sumer, headman of Mukroh filed their statements by way of affidavits on the firing incident before the one-man inquiry commission headed by Justice (retd) T Vaiphei.
Five Khasi villagers and an Assam forest guard were killed in the violent incident in Mukroh border in November last year.

The hearing on the matter continued on March 17.
Some Mukroh villagers had sought two weeks’ time to file their statements and it was granted with a condition that no further time will be granted.
The matter will come up for hearing on March 31.
