Shillong, April 11: Muslims from Garo Hills have opposed Waqf law.
Condemning the Waqf amendment bill 2025 which was passed by the Parliament, the New Bhaitbari Marakz Jame Masjid, New Bhaitbari, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya opposed the law.

It has jurisdiction of around 400 mosques in Meghalaya and some parts of Assam (South Salmara Mankachar District)
They reiterated the need to repeal Waqf Amendment Bill 2025.
