NE youth Cong leaders seek PM’s intervention to resolve boundary dispute
Shillong, Aug 2: The youth Congress presidents from six north eastern states have sought the intervention of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for resolving the inter-state boundary dispute.
The joint memorandum submitted to Modi by Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress president Geli Eti, Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress president Mahananda Nungleppam, Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress president Richard Mrong Marak, Mizoram Pradesh Youth Congress president Dr. Lalmalsawma Nghaka, Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress president Limayangba Longkumer and Tripura Youth Congress president Pujan Biswas said in the wake of recent clashes between the Assam police and the Mizoram police in the fringe territories of Mizoram and recent incidents at the Meghalaya – Assam and Nagaland – Assam borders, there is need on the part of the PM to intervene.
