Shillong, Aug 20: The NEC will take action against the rape accused cashier, an official said on Tuesday.
However, the official did not make it clear the nature of action to be taken by the NEC.

The court on Tuesday sent the accused to 14 days of judicial custody.
According to reports, the girl,who was a casual worker in NEC, was raped by the cashier in NEC quarters in Motinagar.
The girl was working with the cashier.
The accused identified as Shambhu Sharma was arrested after an FIR was received by Laitumkhrah police.
A case was registered vide C. No. 147/2024 u/s 127(2)/74/64(2)(b) BNS.
The sections are wrongful confinement/assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty/rape by a public servant.
