Shillong, Dec 16: NEHU Vice Chancellor PS Shukla has extended his leave till December 29.
In the leave application sent to NEHU Registrar on December 16, Shukla said, “in continuation with email dated 1st, December, 2024 regarding my earned leave, I request an extension of the same till 27th December (with suffix 28&29 December ) due to unforeseen circumstances. In case of any urgent academic or administrative matters, you may reach me via phone or online/email.
The senior most professor or Pro Vice-chancellor shall look routine work of the university during my absence”.
It is yet to be known whether the central probe committee sought any further extension to complete the probe.
The first order to constitute the committee was on November 14 and the panel was to submit the report within 15 days on November 29.
Later, the probe team got extension for another 15 days from November 28.
