Shillong, April 9: The Sharak Rural Development Society (SRDS), an NGO based in West Khasi Hills district, is organising a fundraising event at New Nongstoin on April 29. The concert features special appearances from popular artistes and musicians like Eddie Lyngdoh, DJ B4dit and Joelan, with the main event being Wanjop’s live performance.
The organiser said the event is not just restricted to musical performances but includes food festival and a dancing competition in commemoration of the International Day of Dance.
The competition has two categories, i.e solo and group. The winners of the solo group will be awarded 1st prize – Rs 8000, 2nd prize – Rs 5000 and 3rd prize – Rs 3000.
The winner of the group dance competition will be awarded Rs 10,000. A lucky draw will also be held and the lucky winners can avail cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000
