
Shillong, Oct 29: State Trinamool Congress vice president Zenith Sangma, who joined the Congress on Wednesday, downplayed the question of not respecting family bonds when he decided to join the Congress.
Speaking to reporters after his return to the Congress, leaving his brother Mukul Sangma and others behind, Zenith said in politics, there is no family, and what matters is the welfare of the people.

Zenith said he consciously decided to rejoin the Congress party, which he considers his “old family.”
The intention is to fight against the present corrupt government and rescue the people of Meghalaya.
When asked, he refused to comment on the leadership of the TMC, saying that it is up to others to analyse.
