Shillong, Sep 13: Former Mawsynram MLA HM Shangpliang was inducted into the NPP on Wednesday.
According to Shangpliang, emphasis given by the NPP under the leadership of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma for entrepreneurship, agro products and skilling of youth besides pursuing recognition to Khasi-Garo languages and Inner Line Permit have prompted him to join the NPP.

Shangpliang had first successfully contested from the Congress in 2018 from Mawsynram.
