Regarding the Rajya Sabha nominee, Marak said, “Very shortly, we will be taking the decision as to whom to field”.
Commenting on the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) election, Marak said the government has extended the current House for six months, allowing time for necessary interventions and actions to be taken before holding elections.
To a question on Assam Assembly polls, Marak said, “The party is hopeful to open an account’.
“The response is very good, but let us see. We are hoping to open an account, we are keeping our fingers crossed,” he said.
