
Shillong, April 21: More than 2000 out of 3000 community managed SSA schools have given their no-objection certificate (NOC) to bring them under education department.
Meghalaya SSA Schools Association president Aristotle C Rymbai said this after a meeting chaired by the commissioner & secretary education Vijay Kumar Mantri.
The meeting was attended by District School Education Officers (DSEOs), Sub Divisional Education Officers (SDSEOs) and three teachers associations – Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA), All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers Association (AMSSASTA) and Meghalaya Fourth Teachers
Director School Education and Literacy Banteilang J Kharshandi said, “Initially, the deadline was given but today we have decided to extend the deadline till May 15. This is because we are seeing that many of the community managed SSA schools still have a lot of queries and a lot of doubts”
