Shillong, Nov 13: The MPCC president, Vincent Pala said he will have to take up with the High Command regarding the re-entry of veteran politician DD Lapang.
Pala said on phone from Delhi that the party leaders at Ri Bhoi district level and Mahila Congress members had already approached him and hence what is left is the intervention of the AICC.
“I will take up the matter with Delhi”, Pala said.
Congress leader and Mawhati MDC Charles Margnar said the Congress wanted Lapang to be back in the party.
“He was a Congress man and his contribution is immense, once he rejoins the Congress, this will boost the party,” he said.
Earlier after a campaign in Mawphlang, deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong said he had spoken to Lapang and the mesage was that he will stick with NPP.
