Shillong, June 18: Congress MP from Shillong Vincent H Pala on Friday sought the intervention of Union Minister for Road and Transport Nitin Gadkari in repairing the bridge along the Shillong bypass.
“I am confident that your good office shall take up this issue in the interest of Meghalaya and the North Eastern Region of India in general,” Pala wrote in his letter to Gadkari.

Pala informed that the condition of the bridge at National Highway-6 bypass is in a dilapidated condition despite it connecting to the rest of the northeastern India.
“I urge you to direct the officers concerned and departments to execute the same with immediate action,” Pala said.
