Shillong, Feb 24: Paul Lyngdoh (UDP) has raised the issue of local employment under various power projects during the question hour in the Assembly, seeking answers from the Power Minister Metbah Lyngdoh, who is the UDP president.
Paul has been raising various issues under the power department during the current session.

On Tuesday, Paul wanted to know how the local employment commitments under projects will be operationalised.
He also wanted to know who would be monitoring the employment of locals.
Metbah said that the government is following the state reservation policy.
Later, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma intervened and brought out the numbers related to local employment in various power projects.
