Shillong, May 27: The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Sohra Civil Sub-Division, has informed that Pubic Distribution System rice has been released at the scale of 35 kg per card at the rate of Rs 3 per kg for AAY card holders, 5 kg per head at Rs 3 per kg for PHH card holders and 7.215 kg per card at the cost fixed by the Vigilance Committee of not more than Rs 15 per kg for Non-NFSA card holders for May to all the government approved Fair Price Shop dealers.
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Sohra Civil Sub-Division, further informed that in addition to the normal quota, the government has also released rice free of cost under Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Aana Yojana (PMGKAY) at the scale of 5 kg per head for AAY and PHH card holders only for May.
The SDO has asked all concerned wholesalers/FPS dealers and beneficiaries to strictly adhere to the protocols and advisories while collecting the food grains.
