New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI): The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Friday announced Bollywood star and a passionate Climate Warrior, Bhumi Pednekar, as its first National Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a national advocate, Bhumi will support UNDP India’s efforts to raise awareness and mobilize support for the SDGs, a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

Taking on the new role, Bhumi said, “I am honoured and privileged to be appointed UNDP National Advocate for the SDGs. The SDGs provide a roadmap for building a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future for all. I look forward to working with UNDP India to raise awareness about the SDGs and inspire people to take action.”
